Annual. Blooms in spring to early summer. 12” to 24” tall. Full sun, but can take some light shade. Fairy pink petals with yellow base and maroon backside add a new twist to this traditional English Cottage Garden flower. Edible petals are an elegant gourmet addition to salads, sandwiches, or used as a pretty garnish. Outside, sow seed in early spring, as soon as soil can be worked. Inside, sow 6-8 weeks before average last frost. Seeds require darkness to germinate. Sow ¼” to ½” deep. Makes a nice cut flower and dried flower. May self-sow and return the following year.
